Job Description And Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Production Execution Consultant to support a life sciences transformation program with a strong focus on production process alignment, shop floor integration, and operational readiness. This role is designed for professionals who can bridge business and IT teams, with deep expertise in SAP Production Execution and adjacent modules.
- Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing operations and SAP functional teams for Production Execution/Production Planning and shop floor stakeholders.
- Lead business process mapping and ensure alignment with global standards and SAP PE best practices tailored to local Japanese operations.
- Conduct workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with production, planning, and quality teams.
- Translate manufacturing needs into clear functional specifications and guide implementation teams.
- Support system testing, data validation, and cutover activities from a production operations perspective.
- Contribute to training materials and change management initiatives focused on production teams.
- Ensure SAP PE processes support compliance, traceability, and reliability within regulated environments, aligned with Japanese pharma and life science standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PE with modules such as PP, QM, EWM, and MES systems.

Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP, including deep expertise in the PE module and familiarity with PP, QM, WM, EWM, and MES integration points.
- Proven experience in global or regional SAP implementations, including at least 2 full-cycle SAP PE deployments.
- Strong understanding of production planning, shop floor control, batch management, and manufacturing execution processes.
- Advanced configuration skills in SAP PE (e.g., order types, confirmations, control recipes, process instructions, and production versions).
- Ability to communicate complex SAP concepts in simple, actionable business terms.
- Knowledge of compliance and validation requirements in GxP (Good x Practice) environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) and English, both written and verbal.
- Adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced project environments.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, healthcare, food, or consulting.
