Job Description And Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Governance Consultant (Pharma), you will act as a strategic advisor to corporate pharmaceutical clients, helping them design and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks that meet regulatory requirements and enable advanced analytics. You will lead client engagements, shape governance strategy, and ensure alignment between business, IT, and compliance stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data governance strategy development for pharmaceutical and life sciences clients, ensuring alignment with corporate, regulatory, and compliance needs.
- Design and implement governance operating models, policies, and stewardship frameworks across global organizations.
- Guide clients in data quality, metadata management, and data lineage to support regulatory audits and trusted analytics.
- Act as a thought leader in pharma data governance, advising on best practices and emerging trends (e.g., AI/ML readiness, FAIR data principles).
- Manage and mentor consulting teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional development.
- Facilitate executive workshops, stakeholder alignment sessions, and change management programs to embed governance into client culture.
Oversee integration of governance with Master Data Management (MDM), regulatory systems (e.g., Veeva), and analytics platforms.

Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or MDM, with a strong track record in pharma or other regulated industries.
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, GDPR, FDA/EMA guidelines) and their implications for data management.
- Proven ability to lead client engagements, from initial strategy through to execution and adoption.
- Hands-on expertise with governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Veeva Network).
- Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring consultants or managing workstreams.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and drive organizational change.
- Consulting background preferred; ability to thrive in a client-facing, project-driven environment.
- Remote work usually possible, but candidates must be based in and have valid work permit for the European Union
